On yesterday, Wednesday 5, died of cancer Jim Marshall, creator of the famous Marshall’s guitar amps, at 88.

His brand Marshall Amplification was born in a small shop in Hanwell (London) in the sixties and since then has become a benchmark worlwide.

Its characteristic noisy rock sound became Marshall the favorite of young people in front of his rival, Fender’s house, which made amps used more for jazz and country artists.

Names like Eric Clapton, The Who, Motorhead, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Ozzy Osbourne, Status Quo, Guns N ‘Roses among many others have used the sound of Marshall amps.

His amplifiers and memory remain in eternity. May he rest in peace.
