We already have the first images of the revolution that come next year to our PCs and tablets.

Last night in the D9 Conference meeting in California the chairman of Microsoft, Steven Sinofsky, showed us the first details of the new interface that will be the new version of the Windows operating system, known by now provisionally as Windows 8.

A radical change in the way of showing information as a large mosaic icon that allow quick access and visual to that all you need. It will be ready for being use on touch devices.

It is still a long way to its final release, but some of the great innovations of Windows 8 will be:

  • Run on chips based on Intel, AMD, Nvidia ARM, Texas Instruments and Qualcomm. Thus, work on a unified desktop PC platform, netbooks and tablets.
  • It will support classic Windows applications and new applications developed in JavaScript and HTML 5 designed for tablets. A bet to make compatible Windows 8 and Windows Phone, its mobile operating system.
  • It will include the new version of Internet Explorer 10.
  • Access to the virtual store, Windows Store, operating similar as Apple Mac App Store, which will offer catalog free and fee.

As follows you will find a video where Jensen Harris, director of Windows, presents the new Windows 8 interface. What do you think about?
